Martha Trowbridge Radio, LLC is pleased to announce an initiative aimed towards beatification of Actress Loretta Young, whose 98th birthday was 6 January 2011.
The aim of this intiative is five-fold:
1. To gather documentation of the efficacy of Loretta’s prayerful intercessions to God, in order to present these narratives to the appropriate ecclesiastical authorities.
2. To serve as a platform from which actresses, actors, directors and producers can demand decency in screenwriting and movie production.
3. To call for reinstitution of the Motion Picture Production Code Of 1930, namely, that “No picture shall be produced which will lower the moral standard of those who see it … the sympathy of the audience shall never be thrown to the side of crime, wrongdoing, evil or sin.”
4. To share with a wider audience Loretta’s purity of heart, and outstanding professional and personal example.
5. To present as inspiration to contemporary actresses and actors Loretta’s exceptional life of Catholic service, including her work with Servant Of God Father Patrick Peyton.
